Like many writers, I find the promotion part of writing books to be inherently uncomfortable, forcing to stretch myself well beyond my comfort zone. Part of my discomfort from the actually selling piece, trying to part someone from their money. I know just how precious that stuff is. I think my books are worth it, but its still hard to ask.
But part the challenge for me is just a lifelong difficulty asking for help. I’m not good at it. I think I should be able to do things myself (which may explain my passion for kickass women, it speaks to that part in me.) So here I am, doing both at once. My newest book, Next Move has made it into the top 100 2013 Summer Reads List on Good Reads (out of a list of 692 books). Its current positioning, determined by votes is 97 (this changes rapidly), I’d like to see it move higher. If you are on Good Reads, can you pop on over and vote for me? Just click here.
Also, feel free to pick up a copy. Its a single mother who gets a second chance. Because mom’s are sexy too and everyone deserves a second chance.
I’ll try not to do this often. And thanks. For listening.
