Floral Background in Black and Gold ColorsWelcome Hoppers to Carrie  Ann’s Happy New Years Blog Hop.   Join over 200 bloggers celebrating and sharing what we want for the new year. My goal is to live life to its fullest without fear, to keep being the best I can be, learning to shine and helping others to do the same.  For the new year, I am sharing my all time favorite quote from Marianne Williamson.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

What do you want to do next year that will help you shine and become the person you dream to be or do the thing you dream to do?

Answer the above question and I will give one commenter a $25.00 Kiva loan to invest in an entrepreneur of your choice any world in the world. As you help someone else better their life in the new year, you better your own as well.  The loan will return to you, once the entrepreneur is off the ground, which you can then reinvest in a new entrepreneur or use the money to do something for yourself and your family.  And don’t forget to leave your email. And then please visit the other hop sites.

Over the holidays, if you are shopping for an ebook, consider my recent release Fires of Justice from Ellora’s Cave. Just the right amount of hot for a cold, wintry night.

Fires of Justice Book Blurb

Always read the fine print when swearing an eternal oath to gods and guardians…

Beholden by the sacred vows of her coven, fire witch Calista Reid agrees to temporarily mate with shifter Cullen McMahan to fulfill a mission assigned by the guardians. When tall, dark and damaged arrives on her doorstep, generating enough heat to scorch a fire witch, Calista finds herself drawn to his battle-hardened body and broken soul. His pain speaks to her own deep-rooted isolation and the intensity of his hunger slakes her passion like no other.

Cullen, scarred by a past that left him an indentured soldier to the guardians, resents yet another hump-on-command assignment…until he encounters the compassionate, fearless, incendiary redhead who detonates his body and reawakens the emotions sacrifice and loss had suppressed. But Cullen harbors a terrible secret—one that reaches back into Calista’s troubled childhood and threatens the foundation of their growing bond.

I hope that I will quit procrastinating on everything and become a more efficient person in my home life.

    • Good luck. I struggle with that too, but sometimes I feel that procrastination is just that, and sometimes its incubating new ideas and how to move forward. The challenge is knowing which is which. Have a wonderful new year Michel.

  16. As I sit here, my husband is working on what we want to do this year…take a real family vacation. We have been married for 15 years and haven’t taken the kids anywhere. Many reasons why, but this year, we are changing that. Looking for a pet friendly cabin for a week’s vacation. We will do it.
Best of luck in your goals and Happy New Year.

  35. Really, 2 years ago I started my dream place! A clinic that works with ADHD poor kids, that the parents can pay for the expensive treatment. My big plan for 2013 is to get more sponsors, so we can transform the clinic into a all-day school in 2014.

    Happy 2013!

Oh… I totally loved your inspirational quote!

    • What a wonderful dream. I wish you the very best. In my current WIP, my heroine has a teen-ager with ADHD so I had to do my research on it. You are doing a truly wonderful thing. I wish you all the best and a fabulous and rewarding new year. Isn’t the quote amazing. I’ve always had it up somewhere in various parts of my life. I can never read enough.

  44. Liz says:

    Happy New Year.

Wow… I just have to say wow. That is truly touching and encouraging. When my children start acting shy, nervous, self conscious, or not believing in themselves, that is what I tell them: shine baby, just shine. They can do and be anything, they just need to believe in themselves and shine.

My goal this year is to concentrate on my children. I mean 70 years from now, probably less, what will truly matter? Any job I work will be by someone else’s guidelines, right. However, what I teach and show my children will be passed on to their children, then their children, and so on. That is where a difference can be made. Children really will be the future.

Anyway, thanks for the chance. mzliz.woods@gmail.com

    • Thanks Liz. My daughter has a shy streak too in crowds and new people, and I do the same. I try to help her find her brave place and let herself be the best her in bold and vibrant colors. Its the everyday life of a mother, I think. I love your goal, it is one of mine as well. Thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful 2013.

It just seemed to me a great way to jumpstart my new year as well. Hope your 2013 is happy, healthy and fulfilling. Thanks for stopping by.

  53. valeshka says:

I’ve never made resolutions, but I have a short-term goal to finish editing my current novel. It’s actually my ninth book, but I guess I’ve always been intimidated by the prospect of getting my work published. (I don’t want to self-publish unless it’s my last option.) But not this year. I’m going to go for it, because heck, I’ve been telling stories and writing since I was six. It’s what I was meant to do.
tp DOT quixotic AT gmail DOT com

    • GO FOR IT. I have been writing on and off for years, different genres, etc… trying to find a place where I finished and would submit. In 2011, I finally set a goal submitting something by year end and I did and now I have my first publication (on second not first submission but still). My goals this year are to submit my finished WIP by Feb. 1 (doing final edits) and to complete a second (about 1/3 done) and submit by Dec. 31. Have a wonderful writing year.
